Several folks have asked why I wasn’t steering book buyers to the major unionized online bookseller, Powell’s. Answer: they were charging 6.50 over list price for pre-orders of the paperback. The book is now shipping, and Powell’s is charging list price ($22), as is Amazon.
Barnes and Noble continues to offer the book at a substantial discount, pricing it at $17.60, or for under $16 if you join their program. I’ll update the links in the pages shortly.

Marc, you should mention people can request review copies from NYU P, too! I’m going to be using it in an MA seminar in the second half of the semester and reviewing it at CitizenSE. BTW, did you see I tagged you on the AFT’s “Why I Teach”/Campus Voices meme?
Hey, Bruce. Thanks for the heads-up (and the tag, a favor I have to return asap!). I’d love to see your syllabus. Also, I’ve got several people interested in a youtube teach-in this spring. You in?
Move from consumer of teh U2bes to producer? I dunno, that’s a big step for me! Let me talk to some of my more tech-savvy friends here about the logistics and the Full Metal Archivist about how to actually upload video from the camera to the computer. If I can handle the techical aspects, I’ll give it a shot, especially if it’s after 3/18, when my seminar starts. The syllabus will be up and running in a few weeks. I’ll let you know when it’s done!
